Behind the scenes, 20 years in Berlin, and a partnership that has been part of HipHop Ball from the very beginning
The champagne is chilled, the menu is set, and the invitations have gone out. What comes next? Three hundred chairs, two bars, a professional kitchen and 2,000 glasses, all delivered on time, spotless and exactly where they need to be. The kind of details nobody talks about when an evening goes perfectly. And perhaps that is the greatest compliment of all. Because while artists perform on stage, guests dance across the ballroom floor and glasses are raised around the tables, the work that makes it all possible began long before the first guest arrived.
rentitNOW is one of the companies that brings these moments to life. As a full service provider of non-food catering equipment, the company supplies virtually everything needed to transform an empty space into a fully equipped event venue, except the food itself. From banquet furniture and designer pieces to bars, professional kitchen equipment, glassware, tableware and cutlery, its services also cover planning, logistics, installation and collection.

Berlin Is More Than Just a Location
For 20 years, rentitNOW has been firmly rooted in Berlin. And when you have been part of a city’s event scene for that long, you witness more than memorable occasions. You see how the city itself evolves, along with its culture and the people who shape it.
For rentitNOW, being part of Berlin therefore means more than simply supplying events. The company also wants to support initiatives that make a meaningful contribution to the industry and, above all, to the people who call this city home. HipHop Ball is one of those initiatives. rentitNOW has supported HipHop Ball since the beginning of its Berlin journey, serving as its partner and full service provider of non-food catering equipment. It is a collaboration that starts long before the ballroom doors open. It begins with the challenge of transforming historic rooms into welcoming spaces where around 1,000 people can dine, drink, dance, connect and experience culture together. That makes rentitNOW one of those partners whose work guests may not immediately notice, yet whose contribution can be found in almost every corner of the venue.
Transforming Spaces into Places of Connection
At HipHop Ball, this work takes on a special significance. After all, the Rotes Rathaus is no ordinary event venue. For one night, this historic seat of government becomes a meeting place for HipHop, dance, fashion, music, community, business and cultural exchange.
Long before the doors open and the first guests enter the ballroom, the transformation is already underway. Chairs are carefully arranged, bars take shape, glasses are polished, and light falls across rooms that looked entirely different just hours earlier.
Behind every detail are people whose work may go largely unnoticed once the celebrations begin, yet who play an essential role in turning a historic building into a place filled with music, meaningful encounters and shared memories. This is where rentitNOW and HipHop Ball share a common philosophy. Both are deeply connected to Berlin, and both believe that a vibrant city needs spaces where people can come together.
On November 14, 2026, that shared journey continues as the doors of the Rotes Rathaus open for the second edition of HipHop Ball Berlin.

A New Home. The Same Connection to Berlin.
A new chapter is also approaching for rentitNOW itself. After 20 years on Wrangelstraße, the company’s Berlin operations will move to a new facility on Niemetzstraße in 2027.
Designed from the ground up around the company’s operational needs, the new location will create fresh opportunities for its team, clients and partners. What will remain unchanged is the commitment behind the work. Because when a remarkable evening comes to an end, few people remember whether the glasses arrived on time, how the bar was assembled or when the last chair was put in place. They remember the music. The encounters. The conversations. The feeling of being in a room full of people. And while those memories are being made in the spotlight, partners like rentitNOW are working behind the scenes to make them possible in the first place.
Make the partnership feel more distinctive. Reduce repetition around the event setup.
