Kays discovered his passion for music at an early age. At the age of ten, he began classical singing lessons, followed by five years of guitar lessons at the Kreuzberg Music School. By the age of 14, he had already won the Berlin Senate competition “Youth Develops the New Berlin” and gained his first experience in the music industry.
Shaped by hip-hop culture, he expanded his artistic repertoire to include rap, dance, and beatboxing and, in 2004, became a permanent member of the internationally touring beatbox crew Oralic Soundmachines. In 2010, the HipHop Stützpunkt Berlin named him Ambassador for Beatbox Culture in Germany.Alongside his music career, Kays gained experience in theater and film and completed a Master of Science in Architecture. He is a member of Razzz Beatbox Entertainment, performing worldwide, and a co-developer, set designer, and performer of the beatbox musical Razzz. As a producer, he has released children’s albums such as Razzz for Kids and die Razzzelbande. He is also active as a songwriter and beatboxer and, through the HipHop-Mobil, leads beatbox workshops, organizing and supporting educational programs for a wide range of audiences.
In addition, Kays regularly collaborates with artists from a variety of genres – from classical orchestras to DJs to singer-songwriters – continually expanding his musical spectrum. With his passion, humor, and artistic precision, he captivates audiences as a soloist, in ensembles, or in cross-genre projects. At the Berlin BeatLab of the WeTek gGmbH, Kays brings his experience and creativity to develop innovative formats that connect hip-hop culture with other art forms and digital platforms.
