Issa Franke

Issa discovered his passion for music at the age of eight, when he took his first piano lessons in France. During his youth, he played in various bands and learned to use the piano as a versatile instrument. Studying musicology was the logical next step for him. At the same time, he began working as a breakdance teacher and gained five years of experience as an Artist Relations Manager in the international music industry. During this time, Issa not only developed a deep understanding of the scene but also of the technical side of music production. Through close collaboration with audio engineers, his passion for production and mixing grew, leading him to work today as a producer and mixing engineer. His credits include collaborations with the legendary Abbey Road Studios, the company Roli, as well as a nomination at the German Songwriting Awards.
His artistic roots lie in hiphop – a connection also reflected in his work as the author of the standard reference “HipHop – die vergessene Generation Westberlins” (HipHop – The Forgotten Generation of West Berlin). In addition, as project manager of the Berlin BeatLab at WeTek gGmbH, he initiates workshops on music production, rap recording, and beatmaking to support young talents. At Berlin BeatLab, he combines hiphop history, music, and innovative technologies to create new platforms for creativity. With this versatility, he remains a driving force at the intersection of Berlin’s hiphop culture, music, and youth empowerment – and an inspiring partner for collaborative projects.
