Frieda Frost

Frieda Frost, born Friederike Frost, is a multifaceted German dancer, choreographer, cultural manager, and HipHop scholar. Raised in Berlin-Kreuzberg, she discovered HipHop culture in the early 2000s and began breaking in 2002. Since then, she has shaped the urban dance scene both artistically and academically — on national and international stages alike.

She studied sports management at the German Sport University Cologne, conducts research on breaking, and is affiliated with the Cologne HipHop Institute. As an artist, she is a member of the collectives nutrospektif and Cie Chara, was a Factory Artist at tanzhaus nrw, and has worked with the Goethe-Institut in Morocco.

She is a certified WDSF judge, including for the 2024 Olympic Games. In 2020, her educational concept “Breaking for School” was honored with the Digital Teaching Award.
