FLYING STEPS

The Flying Steps were founded in 1993 by Vartan Bassil and Kadir “Amigo” Memis in Berlin. Just one year later, they won the Battle of the Year (BOTY) for the first time – and that was only the beginning.

Another milestone in the history of the four-time breakdance world champions came in 2007 with the founding of the Flying Steps Academy in Berlin, which is now the largest urban dance school in Germany.

In 2010, the Flying Steps launched their first in-house production: Flying Bach – a show that took to the stage and stunned the world. Shortly after, they followed up with Flying Illusion, which premiered in 2014 at the iconic Tempodrom in Berlin. Together, both productions have captivated over half a million spectators to date.
