Right in the heart of Berlin, the Andraschko Kaffee Roastery has established itself as a go-to destination for coffee lovers who value quality, origin, and mindful enjoyment. Elisabeth Andraschko, co-founder and creative force behind the brand, describes herself as a “hedonist, globetrotter, and entrepreneur.” Her passion for coffee began in a very personal way: “My husband got me into it,” she shares. Since then, Elisabeth and Willy Andraschko have dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to the art of coffee roasting and creating unique taste experiences.
Andraschko’s Path to Coffee Excellence
The journey began back in the late 1990s when good coffee in Germany was still hard to find. “The specialty coffee movement was still in its infancy. So, we decided to roast our own beans,” says Elisabeth. Their travels took the couple to Specialty Coffee Association conventions in the U.S., to Italian roasteries, and even to Piero Bambi of La Marzocco, who at the time had only five employees. Even Starbucks and Peet’s Coffee were still small businesses then. “We traveled, learned, roasted coffee. And today, we bring those experiences and expertise into our work.”

Today, the roastery works exclusively with Probat roasting machines – a technology rooted in tradition and precision. Time-intensive espresso roasts aimed at fully developing flavors through the Maillard reaction are not the exception but rather part of the philosophy. At Andraschko, speed is never the priority – the focus is on the result: coffee with depth, clarity, and character.
One of Elisabeth’s most unforgettable moments was a trip to India: “We roasted coffee ourselves in a pan over an open fire on a beautiful, remote farm, then brewed it and drank it. It was a magical moment that I will never forget.” Experiences like these shape Andraschko Coffee’s philosophy: combining high-quality raw materials, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative production processes. “Magic happens here,” says Elisabeth.

Moments of Enjoyment with Character: Andraschko Kaffee and the Art of Taking a Break
The roastery places great importance on the origin and the people who grow the coffee. Every bean tells a story, and the Andraschko family wants to make these stories tangible through excellent taste. For anyone enjoying Andraschko Kaffee, it’s about taking a conscious little break: “It’s about feeling good. The daily little luxury,” explains Elisabeth.
Their commitment goes far beyond traditional coffeehouses: tastings, workshops, and direct insights into the roasting process allow customers to experience the world of coffee up close. For Elisabeth, the HipHop Ball Berlin is an exciting opportunity to introduce their brand to a new audience: “We also want to bring our coffee closer to other consumer groups, and the venue, the Red City Hall, is just super exciting!”

The values of Andraschko Kaffee – quality, ethics, sustainability, and freshness – perfectly align with the philosophy of the HipHop Ball. The team wants to offer guests an inspiring taste experience: “We want people to enjoy a stimulating coffee experience on November 15th.”
Thus, the Andraschko Kaffee Roastery is not only a place for excellent coffee but also for connection, inspiration, and moments of enjoyment that go beyond the bean itself. Here, craftsmanship meets passion, and tradition meets modern creativity – an experience you can taste and feel.
