Berlin, 23 of October, 2025 – For the very first time, a ball of a special kind is coming to the German capital: The HipHop Ball, founded in Vienna, celebrates its Berlin premiere on November 15, 2025, at the Rotes Rathaus – uniting two worlds that seem opposed: HipHop & Viennese Classical Tradition.
What may sound like a contradiction unfolds its full magic that night: urban culture meets ballroom tradition, street credibility encounters a string quartet, breakbeats merge with a grand ballroom entrance – all in the very heart of Berlin.
What to Expect: A City in Motion
Across four magnificent halls of the Rotes Rathaus, a cultural Gesamtkunstwerk takes shape. Over 100 artists will showcase what it means to celebrate creativity, diversity, and empowerment – from rap and DJing to breakdance, spoken word, beatboxing, classical music, graffiti, and fashion.
Whether you walk the red carpet, feel chills during the speakers’ words, or lose yourself in the Urban Waltz – this evening will make history. For you. For Berlin.
Pre-Dinner Experience (Festsaal)
The evening opens exclusively for dinner guests with an elegant champagne reception at 5:00 PM, followed by a refined 3-course menu by Bonvivant – a culinary fusion of haute cuisine and urban bistro. Cultural highlights accompany the dinner: Austrian beatbox legend fii joins violin virtuoso Kitti Karina Farkas, while Issa Franke & Kays Elbeyli (Berlin Beat Lab) deliver inspiring spoken-word performances.
After dinner, curator Theresa Lambrecht guides guests through a Graffiti Vernissage in the Wappensaal, featuring Berlin street artists Hülpman, Mina Mania, Olivier Kéros, Dejoe, Gogo Plata, and Paula Marie, presented in a striking light installation that frames urban art in a new, festive context.
