Marina Buzunashvilli, born in Vienna in 1981, grew up in Berlin Kreuzberg as the daughter of an Azerbaijani-Georgian family. In 2004, she began working at the Panorama3000 agency, first in accounting, then later in press relations and artist management. In 2012, she founded the music and film agency Musicism & Cinelove together with a colleague from the agency, from which DIE MARINA emerged in 2017, one of the most influential artist agencies in German hip hop.
Marina Buzunashvilli is one of the most influential figures in the German music business. Until recently, she was Director of PR at Sony Music Germany, where she played a key role in making German rap artists such as Kool Savas, Xatar, and Haftbefehl big, and worked regularly with artists such as Robbie Williams and Adele. Her book “Die Bossin – Mein Weg zum Erfolg in 20 Rules” was published by Penguin Verlag in October of 2024.
