DEJOE

Dejoe (real name John Hallpape) is a defining figure of the Berlin graffiti scene, active since the late 1980s. With over 30 years of experience, he is regarded as a master of lettering and has made a name for himself both nationally and internationally. His work is characterized by dynamic linework, complex letter constructions, and a high level of technical precision. Dejoe is also a member of several graffiti crews.

In addition to his work as a graffiti artist, Dejoe is an active DJ, combining visual and musical elements of urban culture. His pieces can be found worldwide—from Brazil to Siberia—and he regularly takes part in workshops, festivals, and exhibitions. Dejoe’s ongoing presence and artistic evolution make him a key figure in Berlin’s and the international urban art scene.
